AYNHO COURSES 2005/6
All the one day courses take place in Aynho Village Hall.
Cost £25 per course. Time from 10am - 3.30pm
1 - Sunday October 16th 2005 Fabric Collage and Montage
Based on the work of Henri Matisse who was strongly influenced by textiles, we will explore pattern with fabric manipulation, appliqué and stitch. A very exciting day for those who would like to use pattern in innovative ways.
2 - Sunday November 6th 2005 Machine Embroidery for Beginners and Improvers
This course will explore machine embroidery in a creative way, covering the basics as well as other exciting techniques including, the use of water dissolvable materials, twin needles and fabric manipulation.
3 - Saturday March 4th 2006 Image Making in Colour and Black and White
Discover the pleasure of creating mixed media imagery. The day will concentrate on using a variety of media, including pastels, charcoal, cut papers, inks, varnishes and paint. Create a very personal sketch book.
4 - Saturday April 22nd 2006 Creative Print making for Artists and Textile Artists
Simple print making techniques will include, monoprinting, stencil making and stamping. A variety of paint media will be used including discharge medium, acrylic paint and pastels. The resulting works could be further enhanced by the use of stitch, collage or paint.
For 2005 courses please book by 1st Sept. and by 30th Jan. for 2006 with Lis Mann at the above address enclosing £10 per Course booking fee. Booking fees are non returnable but they may be offset against another Course. Map and needs list will be sent with confirmation of booking.
