THE SUN THE SOURCE II Jane has recently begun experimenting with monoprints or monotypes as they are more accurately called. Monoprints demand a simplification of design and the challenge of using the constraints of the process to the best advantage. Her method in most cases is to build up a design by rolling ink on to small pieces of acetate, incorporating other materials and passing these through her small etching press. The results can then be collaged to make a more complex result.
